Good afternoon, everyone. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the next round of heavy rain moving our way. This arrives on the final day of February and continues into the first day of March, and may will likely cause renewed high water concerns.<\/p>\n

Wednesday into Thursday should feature a general 1″-2″ of rain, with locally higher amounts. The models are showing the usual spread from a few days out, but I think the NAM is trending closer to reality than the GFS.<\/p>\n

Here’s the NAM rainfall…<\/p>\n

The GFS is too far south with that big slug of rain…<\/p>\n

The Canadian Model backs up the NAM, with greater than 2″ rains falling across the southern half of the state…<\/p>\n

We need to watch the heaviest band of rain to shift north in future runs. Obviously, that would be make a bad situation even worse.<\/p>\n

Moral of the weather story: Flooding rains are possible again on Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n
