Good Tuesday, everyone. After one amazing run of warm temps, Old Man Winter is about ready to flex a little March muscle in the coming days. It’s a cold pattern taking shape and it will bring several snow chances to the bluegrass state.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with today and look ahead. Morning showers may still be going across the east, but will quickly work out of the state…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Better weather quickly blows in here with some sunshine and 50s. Winds will be gusty and could reach 40mph or greater through the afternoon. This comes ahead of a\u00a0HUGE upper level low to dive in here from the northwest. This is one deep system settling in for the next few days…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Underneath that system comes a lot of cold air and rounds of snow showers…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Light accumulations are possible, especially in the mountains of eastern Kentucky…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Temps are much colder than normal, and with gusty winds, wind chills may drop into the teens at times over the next several mornings.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ouch.<\/p>\n

Another rain and snow maker then works in here late Friday into Friday night…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A swath of accumulating snow may occur on the northern edge of that system.<\/p>\n

After a break on Saturday, another system moves our way on Sunday. The models go back and forth on just how strong this thing can get. We are walking a fine line between a fully phased storm and one that misses the connection.\u00a0The new GFS brings one heck of a storm our way…<\/p>\n

The European Model is now way south and east…<\/p>\n
