We are tracking two systems toward the bluegrass state, with the first one arriving later today. This will bring an increase in showers and storms, giving us a bit of a spring feel and look. The second system coming early next week will bring winter back into the bluegrass.<\/p>\n<p>Clouds will thicken today, as temps will come in much cooler than our Thursday readings. Showers and storms will increase in the far west, then roll eastward overnight into Saturday. This isn&#8217;t a washout type of a system, but some scattered action is likely&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29017\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29017\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29017\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/NAM-9.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"742\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That sets us up with one heck of a temperature north\/south temperature gradient for Saturday. Check out the highs on the GFS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29015\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29015\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29015\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"805\" height=\"474\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-7.png 805w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-7-300x177.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-7-768x452.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temps level out more for Sunday, as dry skies return. That&#8217;s a pretty good looking day, but things will quickly go the other way by later Monday and Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of potent systems will work in here through the first half of next week. The first brings us showers and storms and a drop in temps. The second is right on its heels, deliver the potential for snow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29014\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29014\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29014\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-GIf-24.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We need to watch that carefully, because it has the potential to blow up into something stronger than what the models are showing.
