We are wrapping up the final full day of winter, with mild temps and thunderstorms. Spring arrives on Tuesday with a Winter Storm THREAT for Tuesday and Wednesday. That&#8217;s when snow develops across much of Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>In the short-term, showers and storms are working eastward across the state, with a few strong storms possible in the south. Local severe weather can&#8217;t be ruled out along the Tennessee border&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=9nNfA2mOMDiJ4LG\" width=\"560\" height=\"462\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>My overall thoughts for the snow potential haven&#8217;t changed. Moderate to locally heavy snow will wrap around low pressure just to our east late Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have some melting that cuts into\u00a0amounts, but here&#8217;s the First Call For Snowfall&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29097\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29097\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29097\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Winter-2-Copy.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"861\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Winter-2-Copy.png 861w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Winter-2-Copy-300x177.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Winter-2-Copy-768x452.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 861px) 100vw, 861px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve highlighted up to 5&#8243; amounts across parts of north-central Kentucky, where the wrap around may be heaviest. This is a general 1&#8243;-4&#8243; snowfall for most of the state, with most coming Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
