A brand new season arrives just after the noon hour, but it&#8217;s Old Man Winter stealing the show. We continue with a Winter Storm THREAT for later today into Wednesday, for the potential of a few to several inches of snow.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a quick breakdown:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scattered showers will be noted across much of the region early today, with the action increasing this afternoon from west to east<\/li>\n<li>Snow takes over in the west, with the switch rolling eastward during the evening.<\/li>\n<li>Wraparound light to moderate snows carry us through Tuesday night and Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li>Winds will also be very gusty tonight and Wednesday, with 25-30mph gusts possible. You can see all this taking place as our storm wraps up&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29104\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29104\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29104\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/NAM-14.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The snow numbers will be impacted by the warm ground, so we will endure some melting, especially early on. Much of what sticks is on grass and elevated surfaces and will be very slushy.<\/li>\n<li>We are going to see some pockets of overachieving snow and some pockets of underachieving snows.<\/li>\n<li>The best chance for more than an inch or two is snow is across the north and north-central parts of the state.
