It&#8217;s the first full day of Spring, but Old Man Winter continues to flex a little muscle across the region. A Winter storm continues to cover much of\u00a0the bluegrass in a slushy blanket of white and I have all the tracking tools your spring snow loving hearts can handle.<\/p>\n<p>Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are out for much of the region to start the day&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"homepage_map\" src=\"http:\/\/maps8.pivotalweather.com\/maps\/warnings\/nwshaz.us_ov.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Slick roads will be likely this morning, leading to a lot of cancellations and delays. The snow will slowly wind down from west to east today, with VERY cold temps continuing. Lows may drop into the upper teens by Thursday morning. Your tracking tools in a bit.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday afternoon looks good with highs hitting the 40s, which is still well below normal. Friday is mainly dry, but a weak system dives in early on and may have a light band of precipitation along it. The afternoon turns out to be in decent shape.<\/p>\n<p>That brings us to the weekend and another storm system moving in. This system dives in from northwest to southeast, focusing on a MEGA temperature gradient setting up on Saturday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29131\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29131\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29131\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"641\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-9.png 641w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-Temps-9-300x193.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thunderstorms and snow show up across the state, at the same time&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29129\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29129\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29129\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/canadian-11.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A stout band of heavy snow is going to show up on the northern edge of the precipitation shield and that MAY impact parts of Kentucky. Sigh.
