Good afternoon, everyone. With rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms on the way, I wanted to really hone in on the increasing threat for flooding. Several inches of rain will likely fall on the region from tonight through early Friday, likely causing high water issues.<\/p>\n

Here’s the area I’ve outlined for the greatest risk…<\/p>\n

Basically, the entire state has a risk for flooding, flash flooding and river flooding over the next few days. A general 1″-3″ rainfall is on the way, with local amounts pushing 4″ or a little more. That shows up well on the models…<\/p>\n

Given how wet the ground is, and how swollen our waterways already area, flooding is a good bet before the week is over.<\/p>\n

I would expect Flood Watches to go up ASAP…<\/p>\n
