The heavy rain train is slowly pulling out of the station, but it&#8217;s leaving behind a lot of water across our part of the world. Local flooding issues will be noted into the wee hours of the morning, then things slowly start to improve.<\/p>\n<p>Even as things are improving, that doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s all of a sudden going to become awesome around here. One rolls in here late Saturday into early Sunday, with another late Sunday into early Monday. Combined these two can produce a half inch or so of rain for some&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29316\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29316\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29316\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Canadian-13.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"835\" height=\"766\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Canadian-13.png 835w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Canadian-13-300x275.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Canadian-13-768x705.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 835px) 100vw, 835px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This does NOT mean the weekend is a washout&#8230; Far from it. Much of the daylight hours on Saturday are pretty nice with temps running toward 60. Easter Sunday will also have several dry hours, but looks fairly chilly. As a matter of fact, the new GFS has it chilly enough for a swath of snow during the evening&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29328\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29328\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29328\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-3-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"853\" height=\"944\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-3-4.png 853w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-3-4-271x300.png 271w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-3-4-768x850.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 853px) 100vw, 853px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As spring and winter continue to fight it out, winter still holds the upper hand through the middle of April. That does NOT mean some days won&#8217;t produce spring temps and nice weather&#8230; They will. It means the overall pattern is skewed much colder than normal.<\/p>\n<p>You can see that well on the GFS Ensembles&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29317\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29317\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29317\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/GFS-12.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the battle going on, a lot of precipitation falls in our region.
