Much warmer air begins to push into the region tonight, bringing a few rounds of showers and storms. This will then set the stage for a wild next few days, with warm temps and severe weather, and a major temp drop and the flake potential.<\/p>\n<p>A few storms develop overnight as the warm front lifts in from the south and southwest. That should fire up some strong boomers, especially in the north&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody1.png\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also watching for the potential for very heavy rains. Given how wet the ground is, it wouldn&#8217;t take much to cause some local high water issues.<\/p>\n<p>Temps tomorrow afternoon surge into the 70s and may threaten 80 with enough sun. A powerful cold front enters the picture tomorrow evening, producing a line of severe storms rolling eastward. The severe weather threat is up there&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible.
