Good Tuesday, everyone. We have a severe weather outbreak targeting much of the bluegrass state this evening into the wee hours of Wednesday. April 3rd and 4th (1974 Super Oubreak)\u00a0are infamous weather days around here, so it’s a little eerie to be talking about severe storms, but that’s indeed what we are doing.<\/p>\n

In the overall scheme of things, nothing has changed in terms of the severe weather threat. As a squall line of thunderstorms races eastward, we may see a widespread damaging wind event unfold. Within this line, a few tornadoes will be possible, especially across the western and central parts of the state. Hail is also a possibility too.<\/p>\n

The Storm Prediction Center continues to amp up the severe weather outlook map…<\/p>\n

Today is a WKYT First Alert Severe Weather Day, so I will be busy on air and online. We will go into continuous coverage, if need be, with resources to cover the storms from all angles. Tune in.<\/p>\n
