We have a cold front moving across the state later today and this will likely spawn a line of showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms may end up being strong or severe with damaging winds and large hail the main threat.<\/p>\n<p>Temps ahead of the front will soar well into the 70s on a gusty southwesterly wind. The line of storms will be working from northwest to southeast this afternoon into the evening. The action will be fairly fast-moving and will be out of the state by late evening into the wee hours of Thursday. Cooler air will then move in for Thursday as the sunshine returns.<\/p>\n<p>I am on the road today traveling to New Orleans for the Final Four. I will be doing live weather from the Big Easy Starting Thursday as our WKYT Big Blue Crew cranks out extensive coverage of all things Kentucky. Me on Bourbon Street&#8230; uh oh. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s likely I won&#8217;t be able to update the blog today as normal unless I can hit a wi-fi spot along the way.
