We are kicking off a busy weekend of weather, with rounds of showers and storms targeting the bluegrass state. Some of the storms\u00a0may be strong or severe, with local flooding issues a possibility. All of this comes from another winter vs spring battle.<\/p>\n<p>The Storm Prediction Center has our region in a risk for severe storms through tonight&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody1.png\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The main threat comes from damaging winds and large hail.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the severe threat, these will be slow-moving storms that can dump enough rain to cause some flooding issues to develop. The best threat of that happening appears to be across western and central Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>Much colder air sweeps in on Sunday, shutting the heavy rains down from west to east. A strong northwesterly wind flow may spit out a rain or snow shower by Monday.
