We are putting the wraps on windy, but better overall weather day across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The gusty winds will turn much warmer for Wednesday, then turn cold again on Thursday. That&#8217;s right, winds are coming from every direction over the next few days. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>A warm front lifts northward across the state late tonight and early Wednesday. That could produce a very light shower or some sprinkles, but it will unleash a spike in temps. Highs on Wednesday will likely surge deep into the 70s&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29647\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29647\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29647\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/NAM-11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"827\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/NAM-11.png 827w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/NAM-11-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/NAM-11-768x433.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 827px) 100vw, 827px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I could see eastern Kentucky flirting with 80 degrees on that gusty southwest wind.<\/p>\n<p>This is ahead of a fast-moving cold front zipping in from the northwest Wednesday evening. A broken band of showers and thunderstorms will be possible ahead of the front&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=29646\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29646\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29646\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/NAM-12.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"783\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a big wind maker blowing through, with an outside shot at some morning snow flurries on Thursday. Our weekend system continues to trend much farther to the south and may not have much of a wet weather impact on our region. If that&#8217;s the case, our temps may be within the normal range into early next week.<\/p>\n<p>Still, the setup through the end of the month is skewed colder than normal overall.
