Good Friday to one and all. We have a full-blown taste of summer settling in for Mom’s big weekend and the sizzle may stick around through much of next week. As the pattern continues to grow warm and humid, thunderstorms should become a much bigger player.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with today and roll forward. As the very warm and muggy air moves in from the southwest, a few storms may develop on the leading edge of it all. This action pushes to our east and northeast by later today, as the summer feel takes control. Highs this afternoon reach the upper 80s west and low 80s east.<\/p>\n

The weekend thermometers will generally run in the mid and upper 80s for much of the state. Remember that 90 degree chance I talked about several days ago? It shows up this weekend into the first half of next week…<\/p>\n

A cold front does drop in from the north by late Sunday, touching off the potential for storms. The best chance for storms comes early next week and will have some early season heat and humidity to work with. The pattern is ripe for rounds of showers and storms…<\/p>\n
