Good Monday, everyone. On this Memorial Day, let’s pay tribute to all those brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. To those who bravely serve, and have served our nation, thank you.<\/p>\n

In terms of the weather on this Memorial Day, we have a continuation of scattered storms and steamy temps. These scattered storms are bringing torrential downpours, leading to local flash flooding issues.\u00a0I will have your tracking tools in a bit, but we have to track the tropics first.<\/p>\n

Alberto continues to spin toward the Florida Panhandle and is strengthening as it gets closer to making landfall…<\/p>\n

What’s left of Alberto will then move toward Kentucky later Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing the potential for heavy rain and a few severe storms. Here’s the latest 3 day forecast from the National Hurricane Center…<\/p>\n

To the right of the track of Alberto, we will need to watch for scattered strong to severe storms developing. Here’s the area I’m highlighting for that potential…<\/p>\n

Watch how well this remains in tact on the NAM…<\/p>\n

That’s pretty amazing to see, as Alberto stays a Tropical Depression deep into the Ohio Valley.<\/p>\n

Once Alberto goes by, we will watch additional showers and storms targeting our part of the world. We may even see a slow-moving cut off system working right on top of us into early June. That could become a heavy rain maker, keeping temps quite a bit cooler than we have seen for May.<\/p>\n
