We&#8217;ve made it to our Independence Day week, with steamy temps and stormy skies controlling the weather setup. Rounds of storms on Sunday caused some issues across some areas, with today&#8217;s action having the potential to do the same thing, but with a little better coverage.<\/p>\n<p>The plume of moisture coming out of the Gulf and into Kentucky is very evident and will aid in the development of more showers and storms today. Some of the storms may pulse up and become locally severe, producing wind damage. The main threat comes from the torrential rains. With an already soaked ground, it won&#8217;t take much to cause additional flash flooding. Highs through the 4th will hit the upper 80s and low 90s, but the heat index is going to be MUCH higher.
