Our big upper level low is spinning right on top of the area today, bringing rounds of rain and cool temps. This spinning system will hang around a few more days, as temps continue to run cooler than normal. This is part of a larger overall pattern settling in for the second half of summer.<\/p>\n<p>Today will be rather gloomy at times, with lots of clouds and showers around. A few thunderstorms will also be noted, and I&#8217;m wondering if a few of these can produce some small hail. We will also need to be on guard for an area of high rain totals that can cause some local high water issues. Ummm&#8230; I have no words for anyone who thinks this is a normal July pattern.<\/p>\n<p>More showers and storms will be noted for Monday and Tuesday as our system still impacts the region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=30680\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-30680\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-30680\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/GFS-GIf-15.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a>Another cold front moves in by the end of the week unleashing another below normal temperature pattern for much of the country, with another following as we close July and enter into August.
