Scattered storms continue across the region today, but this action isn&#8217;t as widespread as the past few days or the days ahead of us. We have a fall cold front working into the region over the next few days, bringing storms and a taste of September air.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s scattered storms will be more prominent across the south and southeast, but I can&#8217;t\u00a0rule out a\u00a0boomer in any one location. Outside of the storms, we will be seeing a mix of sun and clouds with temps\u00a0generally from 80 to 85&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A powerhouse of a low pressure works from the Mississippi Valley into the Great Lakes from Monday into Tuesday. That causes showers and storms to rapidly increase on Monday, with the potential for a few strong or locally severe storms. Here&#8217;s the Monday Severe Weather Outlook from the SPC&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Torrential rains will also accompany the storms Monday into Tuesday, giving us another chance at some flooding issues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=30923\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-30923\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-30923\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/canadian-4.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s one heck of a storm system for this time of year and is something you just don&#8217;t see very often.
