Good Monday, everyone. We are dealing with another flash flood threat across Kentucky to begin the work week. The past week has been filled with torrential rains, causing local flooding issues, and today may bring another round of high water.<\/p>\n

Showers and storms are sweeping eastward across the state with torrential rains and gusty winds. Storms through Tuesday may put down more than 2″ of rain in several areas, with higher amounts falling in the stronger storms. Watch the creeks and streams!<\/p>\n

In addition to the flood threat, a few storms may produce damaging winds. Here’s the current Severe Weather Outlook from the Storm Prediction Center…<\/p>\n

The showers and storms roll into Tuesday as a powerful low pressure rolls into the Great Lakes. That drags a fall cold front through the bluegrass state, with a taste of September temps coming in behind it…<\/p>\n

A leftover shower is possible on Wednesday, but the big news will be the temps. Highs may not get out of the low and middle 70s.<\/p>\n

Thursday should see highs back in the 70s with lows by Thursday and Friday mornings drop deep into the 50s and could make a run at 50 in the cooler valleys…<\/p>\n

The weekend will find a warmer setup trying to fight back in from the west, but showers and storms may form ahead of this and dive into the state from the northwest…<\/p>\n
