I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the active pattern that&#8217;s taking us straight into the heart of fall. This is a big temperature crash on the way, with two rain makers set to impact our region during the transition.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin with the latest on Hurricane Michael. This is becoming a major hurricane and is heading toward the Florida Panhandle and will be a devastating storm when it comes ashore on Wednesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"coneimage\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/storm_graphics\/AT14\/refresh\/AL142018_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind+png\/024012_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind.png\" alt=\"cone graphic\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some of that offshoot tropical moisture will be siphoned northward ahead of a cold front moving into the state late Wednesday and Wednesday night. Showers and thunderstorms will increase during this time, with some locally heavy rains. A better chance for frost will be with us Friday night and Saturday morning with readings in the 30s.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s left of a Pacific hurricane will then cross the country and move all the way into our region by Sunday.
