We are in the middle of a very nice run of fall weather, but that&#8217;s about to change in a hurry. A major storm system rolls our way by the end of the week, with another to follow that up for the weekend. Moral of the story, some ugly weather is on the way.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the energy\u00a0for the end of the week storm is coming from a Pacific Hurricane names Willa. This storm is coming ashore along the Mexico coastline, but is already helping push clouds ahead of it all the way into our region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i2.wp.com\/cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov\/GOES16\/ABI\/CONUS\/13\/1250x750.jpg?w=640&amp;ssl=1\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That rolls across Texas and into the deep south on Thursday. This looks like a wintertime storm with a double barrel low pressure, with one working into the eastern Ohio Valley as the main low goes up the coast. Here&#8217;s the NAM for Thursday and Friday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/NAM-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31870\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/NAM-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"696\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The European Model is in the same camp with the evolution of this potent storm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-10.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31872\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1254\" height=\"988\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-10.png 1254w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-10-300x236.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-10-768x605.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-10-1024x807.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1254px) 100vw, 1254px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a nice rain and wind maker for our region, with chilly temps joining the party.<\/p>\n<p>Another system then dives in here by Sunday and Monday, bringing some really ugly weather&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-2-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31873\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-2-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1254\" height=\"983\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-2-4.png 1254w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-2-4-300x235.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-2-4-768x602.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Euro-2-4-1024x803.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1254px) 100vw, 1254px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not too far away from being a flake maker, but most of what falls should be in liquid form. Still, that&#8217;s one heck of a setup for this time of year and bodes well for the winter ahead.<\/p>\n<p>In my last update, I mentioned a recurving western Pacific typhoon and how that likely means an even deeper trough later next week.
