Our heavy rain and high wind maker is finally slowing down across the Commonwealth. As the storm system rolls away, much colder winds will blow into town for the start of the weekend and could bring a few more showers. This active pattern isn&#8217;t going anywhere, though. Another potent storm moves in early next week with some winter air behind it.<\/p>\n<p>Temps are dropping from west to east as the steady rains pull off to the east and north. Backlash showers will be noted through tonight. This is where temps may struggle to get out of the upper 40s on a gusty northwesterly wind.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s weather looks really good with temps in the 30s to start and 50s in the afternoon. Winds will be a little breezy with a mix of sun and clouds.<\/p>\n<p>A few showers work in from west to east on Sunday, but the main show arrives just after that. Another big storm moves in late Monday into Tuesday. If you&#8217;re a regular reader of the blog, you know my admiration for Dr. Judah Cohen and the work he does in terms of winter forecasting.
