<\/p>\nGood afternoon, everyone. I wanted to drop by for a few quick thoughts on the winter storm moving into our region. Rain, sleet, snow and freezing rain are all likely across the state through tonight, with rain and snow lingering through Thursday night.<\/p>\n
A Winter Weather Advisory is out for much of the state…<\/p>\n

I’ve seen nothing to change my mind from the thoughts I’ve been laying out for the past few days…<\/p>\n

Is that going to work our perfectly? No, but it gives you a general idea of how this may play out through tomorrow night.<\/p>\n
It’s interesting to note the cold air today is stronger than many of the model forecasts. That will certainly play a role in the precipitation types and may offer up more frozen precipitation. With that cold holding, ground temps and road temps are slipping. Much of this changes to plain old rain by morning.<\/p>\n
The various computer models are still hitting the freezing rain potential pretty good. I’m especially noticing an uptick from the Lexington metro to Louisville down the Interstate 65 corridor. We may really need to watch this area..<\/p>\n
