Our winter storm continues to push across the region, bringing an icy mix early this morning, with rain to snow taking over after that. As the upper level low moves through, we need to be on guard for snow that can overachieve during the afternoon and evening.<\/p>\n<p>Significant icing issues start the day across parts of central and northern Kentucky. Power outages have been common, with several trees down.<\/p>\n<p>The transition to rain this morning does not have a long shelf life as cold air and wet snow increases from west to east&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NAM-2-6.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32417\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NAM-2-6.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In terms of afternoon and evening snows, some areas may pick up an inch or two of slushy accumulations.
