The day before Thanksgiving is a special one here on Kentucky Weather Center. The busiest travel day of the year gets it&#8217;s own special post based on one of my all time favorite movies&#8230; Planes, Trains and Automobiles.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a classic movie, and if you haven\u2019t seen it, we can no longer be friends. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a little clip to get you guys started\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u2pu0m9iTo4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The weather on this busiest travel day of the year looks pretty good as skies become partly sunny. Temps are mainly in the 40s for highs, with a few low 50s west.<\/p>\n<p>Thanksgiving Day will start in the 20s, but end with a decent temp spread. The arctic front delivering the bitter cold to the northeast is sideswiping the state. That means the northeastern part of Kentucky may struggle to get into the low 40s, with 50s in the west. Clouds may also linger into parts of central and eastern Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>Things loo good for Black Friday shoppers for much of the daylight hours. BY evening, rain increases quickly from west to east and will continue into Saturday. With a small break upon us, I&#8217;ve been pointing toward\u00a0 the end of November into early December as having the look of some big winter weather opportunities.\u00a0 The models are now going that direction and the global indices are too.<\/p>\n<p>The holy grail of winter indices would be a -AO, -NAO, +PNA and -EPO.
