Good Monday, everybody. Old Man Winter is back in the bluegrass state today as snow showers combine with frigid winds to produce a mid winter’s day. As a matter of fact, the next few days will feel like the heart of wintertime as our wintry November keeps rolling.<\/p>\n
Cold air is pouring into the state early today with rain changing to snow showers from west to east. Gusty winds of 40mph will be possible early, but those numbers come down as the day wears on.<\/p>\n
Northwesterly winds will create fairly widespread snow showers this afternoon through tonight across central and eastern Kentucky. With temps in the 20s, slick roads may cause a few travel issues from time to time. We could see a few school delays or cancellations Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
Snow showers and flurries will likely continue\u00a0 across the east through Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Light accumulations are a good bet during today into Tuesday. The very nature of snow showers make it difficult to pinpoint who can pick up just a little coating to those who can get an inch or so of snow. Here’s a general light snowfall forecast…<\/p>\n
