We are rolling through as wintry November period with snow showers, arctic winds and frigid temps. This setup continues to create all kinds of travel issues across the region. By later in the week into the weekend, the threat comes from heavy rain and high winds.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin with the current Winter Weather Advisory&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gray.ftp.clickability.com\/wkytwebftp\/WEBWATCHES.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The advisories today have been as messy and as discombobulated as I&#8217;ve seen in a long time around here. Issued too late, extended a few hours, cancelled then reissued again an hour or so\u00a0later. This has been a very poor message to convey to the very people we are trying to take care of. This doesn&#8217;t even include just how the advisories didn&#8217;t cover nearly enough counties in our region. It&#8217;s all about impact, impact and impact.<\/p>\n<p>Snow showers wind down early Wednesday, but a few flakes may continue in the east through the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Moisture moving in on Thursday may start as a touch of frozen precip before going over to light rain. That continues into Friday with a much stronger system arriving Friday night and Saturday. Thunderstorms are even possible ahead of this system as winds gust from 40-50mph.
