We have heavy rain and thunderstorms working across central and eastern Kentucky. These storms are putting down small hail, but it&#8217;s the increased flood threat that&#8217;s getting my attention. We really need to be on alert for some high water issues across parts of these areas.<\/p>\n<p>This is because a comma head of heavy rain is working across these areas, leading to a quick couple of inches of rain. That would be more than enough to cause high water issues for some&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/gray.ftp.clickability.com\/wkytwebftp\/WEBWARNINGS.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Better weather blows in for the weekend as temps mild up.<\/p>\n<p>The pattern for next week continues to trend colder and colder and this is the beginning of sustained winter settling in to much of the country.<\/p>\n<p>A cold front moves in on Monday, bringing gusty rain in here for the afternoon and evening.
