We have cold winds and a few snowflakes showing up right on cue. This is the opening act to a much bigger system moving in by late Friday and taking us through the upcoming weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Before we break down the latest on the weekend, snow showers and flurries will continue to fly across parts of the region this evening into later tonight&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wind chills are way, way down overnight into Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of the weekend storm, it&#8217;s still too early for anything specific, but here&#8217;s a general idea of how this may play out&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Chris.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34000\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Chris.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"844\" height=\"471\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Chris.png 844w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Chris-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Chris-768x429.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 844px) 100vw, 844px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind those lines may be adjusted north or south over the next few days.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s do a quick check of the models to see how they are looking&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The European Model has a fairly strong system and that&#8217;s the farrthest north with the storm system.
