I wanted to drop by for a quick update on this crazy active weather pattern that&#8217;s set to throw a little of everything our way in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>In the short-term, a few flurries and snow showers continue to push across the area, especially in the north and northeast&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That action goes away tonight as we set our sights on a much bigger system moving in late Tuesday through Wednesday night. This likely brings another 1&#8243;-3&#8243; of rain to the region. A Flood Watch is already out for just about the entire state&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/chris-pic-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35169\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/chris-pic-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"825\" height=\"462\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/chris-pic-2.png 825w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/chris-pic-2-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/chris-pic-2-768x430.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 825px) 100vw, 825px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>General flooding and river flooding are possible from this system.<\/p>\n<p>The whole setup is likely to start with a period of snow and wintry mix Tuesday evening into the wee hours of Wednesday morning. Some light accumulations are possible, leading to travel issues. There&#8217;s even the potential for strong to severe storms.
