Flooding is a big issue for much of Kentucky as heavy rain continues to fall. The focus of the afternoon and evening flood threat is across the eastern half of the state as rounds of heavy rain move in from the southwest. After that, it&#8217;s all eyes on more flooding and possible severe weather this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous counties are currently under Flood Warnings. Here&#8217;s a look&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/gray.ftp.clickability.com\/wkytwebftp\/WEBWARNINGS.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s regional radar to track the rain train from southwest to northeast&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The rain will slow down tonight, leaving us with a better looking Thursday. Don&#8217;t get used to that because the drops return Thursday night into Friday. This action is ahead of a potent storm system working from the plains into the Great Lakes this weekend. That will have a blizzard raging to the west of it and a potential severe weather outbreak ahead of it.<\/p>\n<p>Watch this powerhouse storm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GFS-38.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35212\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GFS-38.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This will bring rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms to Kentucky and will likely cause significant flood issues to develop. This also puts the state in the line of fire for severe thunderstorms Saturday into Saturday night.
