It&#8217;s all eyes on the increasing potential or a winter weather system to impact our region for the weekend. This is a system that will roll our way from Saturday night through Sunday night and has the potential to put down accumulating snow for some of us.<\/p>\n<p>I mentioned earlier that we should see the models converging soon on a track and the morning runs did just that. Of course, I expect them to deviate a few times over the next few days, but the general theme of the forecast should remain intact.<\/p>\n<p>The GFS went from having no storm to having the biggest winter weather hit of the bunch&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GFS-48.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35346\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GFS-48.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new version of the GFS is similar&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GFS-2-22.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35345\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GFS-2-22.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Canadian took the rain train to work last night, but got a different ride home&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/canadian-11.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35344\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/canadian-11.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ICON is also targeting the region with a healthy swath of snow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ICON-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35347\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ICON-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The air coming in behind this system is absolutely frigid and is of arctic origin. If we can put snow on the ground, look out!!
