Here&#8217;s hoping this update finds each of you in tip top shape and enjoying another mainly sunny day in Kentucky. As we inch closer to the middle of the week, a weak system is ready to dive in here from the northwest, bringing a few chilly showers with it.<\/p>\n<p>After that blows through, temps will turn milder for the weekend, but it&#8217;s another active setup lurking for next week.<\/p>\n<p>As always, let&#8217;s start with the precious present. Highs today range from the low and middle 50s for many, but a bit of a breeze will make it feel like the under. Skies stay very pretty.<\/p>\n<p>Winds really gust up on Wednesday as temps rise a few more degrees. Clouds will increase in the afternoon as our system sweeps in from the west and northwest. That&#8217;s a chilly shower look for Wednesday night and early Thursday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>GFS<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/GFS-2-6.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35696\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/GFS-2-6.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NAM is trying to make this a little bigger storm and tugs down much more cold air as it produces a big winter storm in the northeast&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/NAM-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35698\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/NAM-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That kind of setup may actually produce some flakes not too far from us.<\/p>\n<p>Temps rebound quickly behind that departing system and make a run into the 60s this weekend. It continues to look very windy as a southwest flow kicks in.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been talking about a bowling ball type pattern for a while now. That&#8217;s a pattern that essentially throws big storms across the country in a west to east fashion. That kicks in next week and can bring some\u00a0ugly weather with it.
