We are rolling into the final few days of March with a potent storm system ready to impact the region. This will bring an increase in showers and thunderstorms and could even bring\u00a0a few flakes into the mix by early Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Before we get into all that, we have a few showers and thunderstorms roaming about the region today. None of these are especially strong and not everyone will see the action, but a few downpours will show up. There&#8217;s a chance for a few strong storms out of this as the cold front sweeps in. Much colder air crashes in here behind this front and that cold will try to catch the back edge of the rain. If that happens, a few snowflakes may mix in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/GFS-23.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35776\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/GFS-23.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Whatever is out there early Sunday will move away very quickly, leaving us with a mostly sunny but cold sky. Temps are in the 40s for highs.<\/p>\n<p>From there, a system is going to try and develop and work across the southeastern seaboard early next week. No, every single day won&#8217;t be like the above map, but the average for the month should skew toastier than normal.
