Good Sunday, everyone. We have a potentially active weather day taking shape across the bluegrass state. Strong to severe thunderstorms will flare up for some areas, especially this afternoon into the evening. This is kicking off a very busy pattern as we roll through April.<\/p>\n

The greatest risk for severe weather is across the western and central parts of the state. Here’s the current outlook from the Storm Prediction Center…<\/p>\n

Damaging wind is likely to be the main player, but large hail may also be noted. The tornado threat is there, but is on the low end of the scale.<\/p>\n

Many of the storms will be travelling from southwest to northeast. The first round comes early today, then we wait for additional action later on. That will be the stuff with the best chance of going severe.<\/p>\n

Showers and storms will continue in waves tonight and Monday as the focus shifts farther south and east.<\/p>\n

Next week continues to look very warm with another big boomer threat lurking for later Thursday.<\/p>\n
