Our weekend will end on a much milder note across the region as southwesterly winds take control into Monday. These winds will eventually usher in some big storms to kick off the new work week.<BR><BR>Let&#8217;s break it all down&#8230;<BR><BR>&#8211; Highs today will really surge with temps well into the 60s with 70s across the west. <BR><BR>&#8211; Winds are going to be a big player today into Monday as gusts top 40mph at times.<BR><BR>&#8211; A strong cold front swings in here Monday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will fire up along and ahead of this boundary. There is a good chance we see a line of strong and severe storms and the Storm Prediction Center has the entire region in a slight risk&#8230;<BR><BR><IMG alt=\"SPC Day 2 0600Z Outlook Categorical\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/products\/outlook\/day2otlk_0600.gif\" width=582 height=408><BR><BR>&#8211; Much cooler temps will surge in behind the front with highs for Tuesday only hitting the low 50s.<BR><BR>&#8211; This chilly down won&#8217;t have the staying power of the one we are just coming out of as temps by the end of the week should be back on the warmer side.<BR><BR>I will throw another update your way if needed&#8230; have a great Sunday and take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Sunday to one and all.
