Good Friday, everyone. A slow-moving front is going to cause some issues for our big Mother’s Day Weekend as low pressure works into the region. That means cooler winds and rounds of showers and storms, bringing the potential for heavy rainfall numbers for some.<\/p>\n

Yesterday’s severe threat did a disappearing act, sticking with the theme of the spring. As a matter of fact, the last several severe weather seasons have been super quiet around here. Shhh… Don’t wake it up. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Our cold front is slowing down on top of the state today. That means some scattered showers will be noted, especially early and across east and southeast. Here’s regional radar to track the action…<\/p>\n

A wave or two of low pressure will develop and roll northeastward along the stalled front this weekend. That could bring some heavy rains into part of the state, especially in the southeast…<\/p>\n

That’s almost a wintertime looking setup as much colder air dives into our region. Check out the temperature departures through the middle of next week…<\/p>\n

Tuesday morning looks to be the coldest morning with some readings around 40…<\/p>\n

Can some pockets of upper 30s show up? That’s a possibility.<\/p>\n
