Good Wednesday, everyone. Our small break from showers and storms is coming to and end as the boomers are back in the bluegrass state. This action is along and just ahead of another cool push of air surging in from the northwest. Even with the cooler air, we just cant shake the wet pattern as more rain arrives this weekend.<\/p>\n

Let’s begin with today and roll forward. Highs are in the mid and upper 70s with an 80 possible. Winds will be gusty as a deep trough digs into the region. This has the potential to crank some strong or locally severe storms this afternoon and evening. Hail an high winds are the main threats. Here’s the Severe Weather Outlook from the SPC…<\/p>\n

Some leftover showers and gusty winds will carry us into Thursday as highs struggle to get to the 70 degree mark for some areas. Friday morning is really cool across the eastern half of the state with near record lows in the 40s…<\/p>\n

After a nice start to the weekend, rounds of showers and storms kick back in for Sunday and that looks to stick around for much of next week.
