Good Monday everyone. We are starting out the new week with some areas getting in on another round of wet snow. The sad part is… this isn’t the last round of flakes that will be flying across our region over the next week. We continue to be in the middle of one ugly weather pattern that doesn’t show a lot of signs of flipping toward true spring anytime soon.

We will start out the day with a fast moving system working eastward across Tennessee. This is throwing a swath of light rain and snow across the southern half of the state. There is likely to be another ribbon of light snow accumulations for some areas… especially on grassy and elevated surfaces. Here is what the NAM thinks will happen early this morning…

Once the early morning snow moves away… skies will clear out from west to east and temps will warm into the low and mid 40s. The clearing trend won’t last long as another system takes a similar path later Tuesday into early Wednesday. This should be a bit warmer meaning a chilly rain will be likely for most with only a few flakes mixing in across the north. You can see this system here on the NAM…

Keep an eye on the end of the week as the next system that gets going may crank up into something a lot bigger. Like I said… this is one ugly pattern!
