It&#8217;s a mainly nice weather day across the region, but we are rolling into the weekend with an increase in the steamy temps and sometimes stormy skies. The storm action will actually increase as we head into next week with a possible tropical connection from the Gulf.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with today and roll forward.<\/p>\n<p>Highs are back into the middle and upper 80s for many with a 90 in the west. That&#8217;s also the area we could see a shower or storm go up later in the afternoon and evening. Here&#8217;s regional radar just in case&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A better shot for a few showers and storms rolls in from west to east later tonight into Saturday. This is on the leading edge of the true steamy air pushing in from the southwest. Any storm that&#8217;s out there can produce some very heavy rains&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GFS-8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36838\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GFS-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1254\" height=\"487\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GFS-8.png 1254w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GFS-8-300x117.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GFS-8-768x298.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/GFS-8-1024x398.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1254px) 100vw, 1254px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temps range from the upper 80s to low 90s in many areas. That temperature trend looks to carry us into the first half of next week. As a matter of fact, I think we are going into a warmer than normal setup likely to carry us through much of September!
