September is off and running on a steamy and sometimes stormy note across our part of the world. As this happens, Hurricane Dorian is threatening the southeastern seaboard and continues to show no signs of a direct impact on our weather. Indirectly, it may help deepen a trough across the eastern half of the country, though.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin with today and roll forward. Temps are similar to where they&#8217;ve been for the past few days and we are likely to see a scattering of showers and storms. This hurricane continues to be absolutely unbelievable to look at&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov\/\/GOES16\/ABI\/SECTOR\/EUS\/GEOCOLOR\/GOES16-EUS-GEOCOLOR-1000x1000.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This may very well achieve Category 5 status at some point.
