Our cold front continues to roll across the state, bringing showers and a few storms to the bluegrass state. This will usher in much colder air for Tuesday as the front passes well to our east. After that, the weekend system is starting to come into better focus and so is the potential for a winter looking pattern that follows.<\/p>\n<p>This evening&#8217;s showers and rumbles of thunder are mainly across central and eastern Kentucky and this action will end later tonight. Gusty winds and heavy rainfall will accompany some of this action. The day may begin with some showers in the east and sun elsewhere, but a few backwash clouds drop back in from the northwest in the afternoon. Much of the day may feature temps struggling to get out of the 50s.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday and Thursday look flat out awesome.<\/p>\n<p>Our weekend system continues to show up differently on the models, but I&#8217;m strongly leaning toward the European and Canadian solutions. That also impacts the next system coming behind that into the middle of next week. That system will be on the leading edge of arctic air pouring into the country.
