The nasty weather of the past few days is about to take a turn toward the awesome side as temps get set to soar and spring takes control of the pattern for the next week or so. I don&#8217;t think too many people will be complaining. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/emoticons\/smile.png\" border=\"0\" \/><BR><BR>The weather today will start out chilly for all areas and may hang in the chilly department for much of the day for the eastern part of the state. That&#8217;s because clouds and a leftover early day shower will be possible. Areas in the west will see sunshine breaking through early today and that clearing line will work eastward through the day.<BR><BR>Temps may have a tough time cracking 50 in the east as the west spikes well into the 50s. Your temp tracker will show it all today&#8230;<BR><BR><STRONG>Current Temps<\/STRONG><BR><IMG src=\"http:\/\/www.kymesonet.org\/wxmaps\/tair_f_large.png?nowtime=1296001614\" useMap=#curmapff border=0><BR><BR>St. Patrick&#8217;s Day will see spring begin to do its thing with temps warming into the 60s for the entire region. A 70 will be possible in the west and south under mainly sunny skies and breezy weather.<BR><BR>Did someone say 70s? Friday&#8217;s highs will likely be well into the 70s with sunny conditions and gusty winds ahead of a front that moves in for the start of the weekend. This front will knock our temps down closer to normal for Saturday and will likely have a shower or two.&nbsp; That same front will then return to the north later Sunday into early next week as a big plains storm cranks up. What does that mean for us?
