The blog is having a few issues today, so posts are having a tough time showing up. If you&#8217;re reading this, let me know how you&#8217;re doing so.<\/p>\n<p>Even with the issues, the weather never stops. We have a light rain maker working through the state late Tonight into Friday. We&#8217;ve covered that one pretty well in recent days.<\/p>\n<p>The setup for early next week continues to suggest heavy rain, gusty winds, a temp spike, a big temp drop, some snow and arctic air. How this all unfolds will keep changing on the models. Here&#8217;s how the late day run of the GFS is looking&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-14.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38865\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-14.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a>You can see how the model slows that front down and allows a wave of low pressure to bring a stripe of snow across central and eastern Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>The GFS Ensembles are in more of a giving mood and provide much of the region with a better snow chance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-snow.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38870\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-snow.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"970\" height=\"756\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-snow.png 970w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-snow-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/GFS-snow-768x599.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px\" \/><\/a>The pattern behind that is loaded with winter weather potential as arctic shots start to take control. Throw in a very active storm track and ya never know.<\/p>\n<p>This continues to be a very cold pattern in the overall scheme of things.
