Getting to that point may become a problem with the threat for strong and severe storms.<\/p>\n
Let’s begin with today and work forward. Highs will hit the upper 80s and low 90s across the central and east with upper 90s in the far west. The readings over the past few days have really shown what a difference drought verses a moist ground can make. That should do its thing once again today. I can’t rule out a scattered shower or thunderstorm going up.<\/p>\n

That track and the dynamics associated with this storm\u00a0continues to get my attention as it could mean an outbreak of severe weather for the Ohio Valley on Thursday. That is something we will need to keep a close\u00a0eye on.<\/p>\n That fall looking storm system will have some\u00a0early fall like temperatures\u00a0behind it. Some parts of the\u00a0state may see 70s for highs from Friday through Sunday with lows dropping into the 50s.
