Good Tuesday, everyone. Flooding continues to slowly wind down across the bluegrass state as colder air sweeps back in. This will bring a touch of winter weather and snow to the area today, before the pattern calms down for the next several days.<\/p>\n
Let’s start with the ongoing flood situation. Many areas picked up 1″-3″ of rain, with some local amounts pushing 4″ since Sunday. That was more than enough to cause plenty of issues and some schools are even closed today because of the high water.<\/p>\n
With the rain moving out, a period of winter weather and snow is with us this morning. This moves from northwest to southeast, impacting areas of central and eastern Kentucky. Some elevated surfaces may see some light accumulations before the flakes taper off.<\/p>\n
Another weak front arrives Wednesday and may produce a flake or two in the north and northeast. This is a cold day in the bluegrass state…<\/p>\n
