Hurricane Isaac continues to hammer Louisiana and parts of the gulf coast states today. This slow moving storm is going to cause a tremendous amount of flooding and problems for the poor folks down south. What about here in Kentucky? We should be feeling the impact from Isaac by the end of the week into the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The storm will crawl across Louisiana today into early Thursday then begin to lift northward into Arkansas. Here&#8217;s my updated outlook on where it goes from there&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4030\" title=\"Special 2\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"537\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special-2.png 537w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special-2-300x203.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That is very much subject to change as we get a better handle on the storm over the next few days and some new data suggests I&#8217;m a bit to far north with the Ohio Valley track. For now&#8230; the heaviest rain will likely skirt by JUST to our west and north. We will still see showers and thunderstorms becoming common from late Friday into the weekend. The best threat for showers and storms will be Saturday through Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The atmosphere is loaded with moisture and this means torrential rains and the possibility of flash flooding.
