Good Tuesday, everyone. It’s a cloudy and cold day across the state as a few flakes try and dot our skyline. As we look ahead, we are tracking a potential light snow maker for Wednesday, with an emphasis on the word “light”. Then, there’s another possible headache by the weekend.<\/p>\n

Let’s begin with today and roll forward. Temps are in the 30s with cloudy skies and the potential for a few flurries. Areas across the south and far southeast may see some sun that boost temps a bit.<\/p>\n

The system moving in from the west for Wednesday is one that weakens the farther east it gets. The NAM fam continues to bring a light snowfall to parts of the region, but differ on location.<\/p>\n

The Hi Res NAM focuses a little stripe of snow across the south…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The NAM is a little farther north…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The GFS has nothing at all…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The EURO is somewhere between the Hi Res NAM and the GFS…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>That’s pretty choppy looking and is indicative of how weak this system is as it moves in. Did I mention “light” is the name of the game for those who actually see some snow from this? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The weekend setup continues to find a big storm system trying to come out of the south and ride up the east coast. At the same time, a system is dropping into the Ohio Valley. If you want a big winter event around here, you want those two systems to hook up.<\/p>\n

As of now, that’s not looking likely. Here’s the GFS…<\/p>\n
