Things look to become very soggy across the bluegrass state as the remnants of Hurricane Isaac move in. This system is likely to bring rounds of tropical rain producing showers and thunderstorms to our region into the early part of next week.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac is now a Tropical Depression as it tracks across Arkansas into Missouri today. This system is pulling up a tremendous amount of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and this will touch off scattered showers and thunderstorms today.<\/p>\n<p>The action will kick into high gear later tonight and continue through Saturday and Sunday. Showers and storms will become common and these will put down a lot of water in a short amount of time. It&#8217;s not going to rain all the time, but when it does, it will REALLY come down.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac continues to\u00a0look like a very slow moving system as it crosses the Ohio Valley this weekend. The updated track of this storm may bring it right across northern Kentucky by Monday. This will increase the risk for, at least isolated, flooding rains. Here&#8217;s my latest rainfall forecast through Monday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4044\" title=\"Special\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"679\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special1.png 679w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Special1-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 679px) 100vw, 679px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If Isaac&#8217;s track comes a little farther south than the map shows, the heaviest corridor of rain will also shift southward.
