The first full weekend of April is off and running on a very nice and mild note. As the weekend wears on, a few showers and storms will begin to develop. That action will increase a bit early next week, before bigger changes continue to show up from late in the week into next weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Temps out there today general range from the upper 60s to middle 70s with a mix of sun and clouds. A scattered shower or storm will be possible across the western half of the state&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The threat for scattered showers and storms will then increase across the state on Sunday as a front washes out near us&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EURO-4.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-41591\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EURO-4.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a>Temps Sunday will likely come down a few degrees compared to what we have today, especially in the north.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers climb again for Monday through Wednesday and should be deep into the 70s. Unfortunately, the chance for a few showers and storms will also be on the increase&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EURO-2-2.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-41592\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EURO-2-2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a>We will have to be on guard for a few strong storms during this time.<\/p>\n<p>A cold front offers a glancing blow of cool weather by Thursday and Friday, but the pattern after that looks more like something we would see in the winter months. The EURO is showing a deep trough across the eastern half of the country&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EURO-4-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-41594\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EURO-4-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a>Look at that blocking over Alaska and Greenland. Where the heck was that a few months ago?
